| We enjoyed white water rafting on the Niseko Shiribetsu river. Unfortunately, this day rained chicken coops unlike on the preceding day; hence, we protected ourselves against the cold as following photos. Tour operator was NAC (Niseko Adventure Centre), our instructor was kiwi. Many of vacationer came from Sapporo, including Canadian tourists who were traveling in Japan and watching all group matches of Italy on World Cup. They had TSTs tickets for Italy's matches, but we had ones for Saudi Arabia's matches. With enough money and vacation, we might have done like them; but we didn't get Italy's tickets in view of the cost of TSTs for category 2, and traveling in Hokkaido and Kyusyu. Our instructor said "I hope to work as rafting instructor in Minakami because there is a mecca of white water rafting in Japan, and I can visit Roppongi for pleasure on my holidays." I also thought "I only go skiing and bathe in a hot spring in Niseko." If you would like to do white water rafting in Japan, you should go to Minakami, Gunma prefecture. Since both of Aussie and kiwi said so, there's almost no doubt it. |
