This day was drizzling and chilly weather in Sydney in spite of summer.
It seemed to come to nothing that I came here to relax on the beach under
the rays of the sun.
So I regretted not going direct to Gold Coast.
As for me, my memory of Sydney was held under house arrest due to sick
in bed in 1996.
I expected to dispel it, but instead I remembered it because I was apt
to catch a cold.
If it rained quite steadily, I might have spent at hotel's pool and Internet cafe; however, fortunately I could explore in the city.

I think it was best way to Circular Quay from the hotel with walking around
the city, but I only walked to Town Hall (photo on the left) station and
then took the City Rail due to gutless.
There were some ticket vending machines at the station; however, nobody
got lined up there, instead, many passengers did so at the station ticket
office.
That's why these machines were broken.
I also tried to buy the ticket by the vending machine several times, but
I couldn't do it; hence I was compelled to get lined up at the station
ticket office.
In case of Japan, if such things happen, people may protest against the
station staff, but nobody did so in Sydney.
I understand that such cases happen in developing countries, but I was
in Australia, right?
It is said that the City Rail is publicly operated transportation services,
hence employment policy is the most priority issue, I guess.
Since I wanted nothing special to do, I joined the Sydney Harbour Explorer
of Captain Cook Cruise.
So I remembered that K53 makes mention of Watsons Bay as one of Australia's tourist attractions
on his web site.
I couldn't seem to relax on the beach because of cool weather in the morning,
but I disembarked at Watson's Bay in order to eat a famous seefood cuisine
at Doyles on the Beach.
And I ordered some seafood, and then the large sized beer to the bar staff,
so I was surprised to be served it by a jug.
It was too much for me, but I didn't remember a word "mug."
However, a bar staff asked me "Large or small?"
Don't tell me small size means a mug of beer.
Finally if you put soy sauce on seafood, it makes a savory dish much more. I suggest stocking Doyles with it, how about you? (E-mail to Administration) |
By the way, some bikini girls swam in the cool weather.
I guessed it was unnecessary to do so unless they join the midwinter swimming
festival.
Or they might have expected to fair up in the afternoon, right?
If that's the case, I might have come at the wrong time, right?

It easily takes 1 hour to get to Sydney Airport from the hotel.
There is a convenient Sydney Airporter service in the city, but I took a train because of getting there in time.
Since recently it's very easy to reserve a cheap flight ticket by the Internet,
so we are easily apt to make out an itinerary.
I also reserved some hotels using Asia Hotels, getting a reservation was without any troubles contrary to my expectation.
Instead, this web site offered a excellent service; for example, customer
service staff reported progress almost daily by E-mail, and if I send a
feedback, my opinions were on the review page without delay.
Therefore my friends also rated this site as having good service.

When I arrived at Coolangatta airport, K53-san was waiting to meet me.
He said "Two ladies, mom-mom-san and yang-mom-san were staying at Crystal Bay and enjoying their vacation since the beginning of the week."
And he also said, "If you are group tourist and staying in one destination,
a condominium is suitable for you."
By the way, I thought they are relation between parent and child; however,
I was surprised that they discovered each other via an Internet website.
So K53-san and I were also in the same situation.
I think the Internet is a marvelous communication tool.
Therefore I thought mom-mom means mom of mom, and yang-mom means young
madam; however my imagination was wrong, actually mom-mom means Madam Mamiya,
and yang-mom means yancha-na (tricksome) Madam.
In fact yang-mom-san is an elegant woman and she can speak English because
of former US resident, I heard.
After arrival at K53's house, I swam at the nearby pool in the afternoon, and then joined BBQ party at night.
So all participants enjoyed having Aussie beef steaks, beers and wines
with chatting.
My trip was like a party-hopping, right?
Since I made many friends through the Internet, such trips are also no
problem, I guess.
I think I am very happy to be able to take the time to have a website of
my own, study investing and make a trip.
Now I acknowledge lucky surroundings.
