My Advice
  • There are few taxi transport from Heho to Nyaung Shwe, you may be overcharged by the driver. To avoid that, it would be better to reserve your lodging and airport transfer in advance.
  • If you shelter from the rain, I recommend you to get a massage at Win Nyunt Traditional Burmese Family Massage. It opens from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and you pay only US$3 per an hour. I heard Remember Inn is operated by his family, so boat trips, air tickets, and bus tickets can be obtained here.

flight attendant of Air MandalayI was transferred to Bagan airport by Mr. U Bo Ni who guided me.
Today the weather ironically turned clear when I left for the next destination.
Actually I flew from Bagan to Heho via Mandalay, I was unlucky to have bad weather because it was drizzling in Heho when I arrived there.
I was taken from Heho airport to Nyaung Shwe by hotel transfer service.
Without it, I might have been overcharged by taxi driver.

From the airport took to the hotel about one hour by car.
As soon as arrived the hotel, I asked the staff to arrange air ticket to Yangon and hotel in there.
So I got him to reserve Panorama Hotel because it was annoying that I find other hotels in Yangon,
In spite of the morning, I could check-in the hotel; however, we had not access to power in the room because of interruption of electric service by 2:00 p.m.
Since rain didn't stop and nothing to do in the hotel, I went to get massage at Win Nyunt Traditional Burmese Family Massage where hotel staff recommended.
My masseur hanged from the ceiling and stepped slowly on my back.
I thought Burmese massage is extreme, but it's suitable for tired body.
After massage I had a lunch at Restaurant Unique where Mr. Win Nyunt recommended.
Since this restaurant was in calm ambiance and served nice food, I enjoyed lunch.

It faired up in the afternoon.
I rented a bicycle and went to Nyaung Wun.
The locals said from Nyaung Shwe takes Nyaung Wun about one hour by bicycle, but I had pedalled it around two hours.
I was slightly glad to find the signboard of Japan's ODA projects in the course of my trip.
Because Myanmar government seems to show his gratitude unlike China and so on.

The Hu Pin Spa is around 3 kilometers from Inle Khaung Daing Spa Resort.
I paid admission fee and changed into a bathing suit.
Bath towel can be borrowed, in addition soap and shampoo are available here.
There are heated pool and water one, but showers are only water.
So there was only me in this spa because I guessed here is long distance from either Nyaung Shwe and nearest hotels.
After enjoying spa I intended to avoid pedalling a bicycle again; hence, I asked sellers at a street stall where I could take a truck for the town with gestures.
After talking with them I was taken to boat gate, and then carried to Nyaung Shwe with bicycle.
I felt the boat fee was extremely high by comparison with other price level, today's cycling might be good experience for me.
Of course without riding the boat on return way, I might not have felt in such wise.
