This day I explored in Inle Lake by boat tour.
I was taken to the boat gate, and paid Inle Zone Entrance Fee.
Firstly I went to Intain Village with seeing Intha fishermen who paddle
the boat with their foot.
Main tourist attractions are Shwe Intain Pagoda and shopping at the market
here.
Local women industriously did a washing in addition bathing in the canal.
Today was favored by good weather unlike until yesterday, it became very
hot as temperatures rise.
So I got heavy sunburned out of sheer negligence.
After leaving Intain Village, I continuously visited three craft centers;
Inn Shwe Pyi, Padaung Traditional Hand Weaving Center, and Hnin Thitsar,
Traditional Umbrella Workshop, and Mya Hintha, Gold and Silver Workshop.
However, I felt sad because Padaung woman seems to make a show of visitors.
It gave suggestions all things that she was smileless.
After lunch I visited Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda and Ko Than Hlaing, silk and
lotus weaving center.
There were lot of local prayers at the pagoda, which is one of important
tourist attractions in Inle Lake.
In this pagoda visitors are required carry-in camera charge for 200 kyat as well as Shwe Intain Pagoda.
This is important income source here, right?
And I bought Shan's ethnic jacket and Myanmar's traditional dress, longi
at Ko Than Hlaing.
So I felt the longi is suitable not only in Myanmar but also entering mosques in Muslim states.
Finally I went to Nga Hpe Chaung also known as Jumping Cat Monastery.
The monastery is interest to visit because its monks have taught some cats
living with them to jump through hoops.
But you must take care not to be wetted by cats.
If your trousers are wetted, you may experience discomfort; hence, you
should watch where cats are.
